Capture the Base Empty Capture the Base

This game mode would be similar to CtG, with two teams having bases both ~600 ft from the spawn, but instead of a gem that has to be recovered, each team would have an elaborate base laid out (it may be somewhat complicated to set up...) with 2-3 areas marked out with one banner of their team's color, and an area marked out to be the spawn room. Each spawn room will have one or more chests in it containing stacks of that team's colored banners. All players are mediumcore with PvP on; a ref, if there is one, is softcore with PvP off and OP gear to stop any rulebreakers.

The aim of the game is to break into the enemies' base and replace their banners with your banners to "Capture" a zone. Players would not be allowed to enter the other team's spawn room (Perhaps the spawn room should be under the castle to give an advantage to defenders coming up with the starting weapons) and one team wins when they have captured all zones simultaneously.

Before the game, a 10 - 15 min prep time like in CtG would be allowed, in which players are allowed to do anything to prepare that they wish EXCEPT cross the boundary line.

Bases would be constructed out of team colored brick and would NOT be allowed to be broken or modified by ANY player(s) in any way. However, players would be able to fill in the base with a block, say dirt (questionable, maybe modify this later) BUT the other team can break those blocks.

Players would NOT be able to place banners of their color anywhere but on the spot for a capture zone, and ONE banner per capture zone. Players would not be allowed to place banners captured from other players at ANY TIME, and if there is a time out called, should return them to a player on the opposing team.

This game type has the potential to be very looooong... perhaps there should be a potential for "Base-Swapping" where if BOTH teams capture all zones in the opposing team's base at the same time, a time-out is called to swap spawn points...

4 players per team recommended.

What do you think ?
